Kenya Railways was among the over 150 varied exhibitors who showcased latest innovation, technologies, products and services in the agriculture and trade industry at the Mombasa International Trade Fair. The one week fair which ran from September 6th – 10th, 2023 at Jomo Kenyatta Showground – Mkomani provided a forum for sharing information and networking with a purpose to empower and impart knowledge to the public.

Visitors to the KRC stand got a chance to learn about the role of Railway transport in the socio-economic scene and the planned railway development projects affecting the rail transport sector. Of particular interest to visitors at the stand was information on both the Madaraka Express Passenger and Freight Services.

Aside from the Madaraka Express Passenger Services operations, the displays also showcased the proposed Eldoret Railway City, the upcoming Nairobi Railway City and the Nairobi Railway Museum. Not to be left behind, the Railway Training Institute participated alongside the Corporation displaying planned developments for the Institute and various projects done by students.

During the judgement, the Corporation emerged second for the ‘Organization that has undertaken initiatives to provide viable transport solutions’ category and got third position for the Best Government Stand category

The Show whose theme was ‘Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth’ was organized by the Agricultural Society of Kenya was officially opened by H. E the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
