Mr. Koech has 30 years’ work experience, 22 of which have been in the internal audit function. He has served in several management positions for in the last 15 years, 10 of which have been with Kenya Railways.

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). Mr, Koech has undertaken several professional training courses locally and abroad covering areas of risk- based internal auditing and management, Entrepreneurship Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Project Management, Management and Leadership Development. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) for the last 22 years. He is also a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Kenya.
