The Corporate Affairs & Public Relations Division (CA&PRD) together with the Business Department, Marketing team jointly visited customers in Kisumu City for an engagement on matters pertaining customer relations to enhance services for improved business performance.

The Marketing and CA&PRD team were tasked with the responsibility of working together to ensure that the business needs of the Corporation are met in line with the current Strategic Plan.

In light of this, the Corporation current strategic plan 2023-2027seeks to increase freight market share from 26% to 42%, as well as improve on the Customer Satisfaction Index from 72% to 80% by 2027. The team successfully engaged Devki Group of Companies, Kisumu and Roofings Kenya Limited as they had a one-on-one engagement on issues relating to customer satisfaction that will improve their business performance.

Both parties expressed a willingness to fortify their relationship and seek to continuously work on finding solutions to any challenges encountered.

The team also visited the Kisumu Port and witnessed the loading of iron billets onto MV Uhuru I that was set for a voyage trip to Jinja, Uganda.

The team also met and engaged with Board of Directors from Uganda Railways Corporation who were in the country for benchmarking.
