Kenya Railways Managing Director, Mr. Philip Mainga EBS.  officially welcomed members of the Parliamentary Committee on Implementation during a site visit to the Mombasa Terminus and the Kenya Railways loading zone at the Mombasa Port.

The delegation, led by Hon. Raphael Wanjala, Member of Parliament for Budalangi, commended Kenya Railways for its significant role in transforming the country’s transport landscape. The committee acknowledged the Corporation’s efforts in facilitating efficient transportation of both passengers and freight, noting the positive impact on decongesting road traffic across the country.

The committee also applauded the introduction of Premium Class services and the establishment of state-of-the-art waiting lounges, describing them as important milestones in enhancing customer experience and delivering modern rail services.

Impressed by the recent progress made by Kenya Railways, the committee pledged to recommend increased Government support to further elevate the Corporation’s capacity in providing world-class rail transport solutions for all Kenyans.
