We hereby notify members of the public that payments for all services shall only be made through the e-citizen platform in line with the Presidential directive which was issued via a circular issued to all Government of Kenya (GoK) Ministries, State Departments, and State Agencies (MDAs) by the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy (MICDE) in a bid to improve service provision.

E-citizen is an electronic funds transfer payment gateway connecting MDA’s to the Central Bank of Kenya. It is basically a conveyor belt through which payment for GoK services first goes to the National Treasury’s bank accounts for recording of all revenue collected by MDAs before it is deposited into the concerned MDAs’ bank accounts within a prescribed convenient period of time known as “settlement time” leaving the revenue at the MDAs disposal to allow for smooth running of the MDAs activities.

To pay for our services via e-citizen, customers are advised to use the paybill 222222 or via https://krc.ecitizen.go.ke. Please note that each service you are paying for has a unique Account Number. Therefore we urge that you be very cautious to avoid errors.
