Kenya Railways Managing Director Mr. Philip Mainga, EBS today took a moment to wish our Madaraka Express Passenger Services and Nanyuki Safari train passengers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

“We at Kenya Railways are grateful for the support you have given us by choosing our services. We are honoured to have you onboard every other day.

Kenya Railways introduced an additional Madaraka Express Passenger Service train to ease travel during the festive season. The train has been in Operation daily from December 8, 2025 to January 5, 2026, making one round trip each day. The train departs Nairobi Terminus at 9:40a.m, arriving at Mombasa Terminus at 3:35 p.m. The return service departs Mombasa Terminus at 4:30 p.m. and arriveinNairobiat10:55p.m.

We have also revived the Kisumu Safari Train with a trip to and from Kisumu after every one day. The Nanyuki Safari train schedule train has also been reviewed to entrench daily trips to and from Nanyuki.

“Welcome onboard, sit back, relax and enjoy the journey. We will get you there safely as we look forward to have you onboard during the return journey,” he added.
