Dr. Stephen Mutemi Ikikii, EBS, is an Economist, Certified Financial Analysts and a member of the Institute of Certified Investments and Financial Analysts (ICIFA). He has had a career spanning of over 20 years. He has held pivotal role in the then Ministry of Planning and National Development and currently is Director Investments under Government Investment and Public Enterprises (GIPE) within the National Treasury and Economic Planning. Dr. Ikikii has also served and continue to serve as Alternate Director to the Cabinet Secretary, the National Treasury in various parastatals.

Current Assignments

a) Team Leader/Coordinator for State Corporations/SoEs

b) In-charge of Mergers and Acquisition within the National Treasury

c) Member Project Oil Kenya Representing National Treasury in the Commercial Working Group on commercialization of the Crude discoveries in Turkana

d) Project Co-ordinator in the Development of Government Investments Management System (GIMIS) to automate the GIPE operations.

Dr. Ikikii’s research interest includes, but is not limited to, Financial Econometrics, Forecasting, Monetary Policy and Financial Markets.
